About

Hi, I'm Deja! Growing up, I had always loved making videos. I used to film music videos with my brother using Video Star. We even filmed a fake State Farm commercial using in camera visual effects (https://youtu.be/_tpxmKsXums?si=hCZFlMh0-sEAIvGs)

I think I always was interested in film making, but I didn't know what part of the pipeline I wanted to be in. I spent a lot of time on Youtube watching how other people would create videos and the behind the scenes footage of many different movies. One of the movies that really captured my attention was Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I was fascinated by the technology and the transformation from a human to a photorealistic ape. Wanting to learn how to do that, I enrolled into Savannah College of Art and Design's Visual Effects program. Through the years, I have developed skills in compositing, lighting, fx, animation, and rigging. 

I received my BFA in Visual Effects from SCAD in 2023.

I am currently pursuing my MA in Visual Effects from Savannah College of Art and Design.
