Feedback:
More transparency and glow in the flower.
Have flower open from the top.
Give the flower a more pointed shape. Right now it feels too oval.
Vines need to be more grounded in realism.
More vegetation in the environment.
Orchids would be cool.
Don't loose detail in the glow.
More branches coming off the vine.
This week the group recorded the live action footage for shots 4 and 5. There were a couple of problems that resulted in us no longer using that footage. For both shots, there was a lot of grain and noise that made it really hard to get a good key with good edges. The footage for shot 4 was also not really in focus. Due to all of that, that shoot day serves more as a test. We made plenty of mistakes and now we will re-shoot with a better plan going into it.
For the re-shoot, we will either get someone more familiar with cameras or spend more time adjusting the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO to get the least amount of noise possible.
Because shot 5 was a still shot, I had done some roto since I was not getting good edges from the key.
